This is the number 1 site for Playstation 4 pictures and exclusive news and leaked concept designs. We are constantly updating this site with breaking PS4 news and information. Read on to discover the latest facts revealed about the PS4.

There are so many different concepts, ideas and rumours going around on the internet about the PS4 and its accessories that it is hard to know what is real and what is not. One part of the PS4 rumour cloud is what the ps4 controllers will look like and what features they will have. There are many weird and wonderful concept designs out there, this article takes a look at the best, weirdest and most popular prototypes.

If you have been researching the Playstation 4 for any amount of time then you have most likely heard of Project Cobra. The Cobra is a concept design for the Playstation 4 controller created by concept designer Jiang Qian.

The Project Cobra PS4 controller

The main design feature of the Project Cobra controller is that it contains a fan to help to regulate the temperature of the controller and keep it cool and prevent it from overheating. I personally haven’t had any problems with overheating controllers, but perhaps it would become an issue if Sony decided to add any elaborate features to the controller itself.

PS4 Controller conceptThis is another example of a fictional gamepad created by fans. This comical looking design features   of buttons and is obviously not a candidate for an actual Playstation 4 accessory, but it still has some entertainment value to look at it. It seems strange to think it, but a small group of fans actually believed that this was Sony’s actual prototype for the new Playstation. Photoshop at its best.

boomerang ps4 controllerAnother concept for a new Playstation gamepad. This design features a boomerang shaped game pad. It has all of the features and controls of the previous Playstation controllers such as you would find on the PS2 or PS3. It has all of the classic features but with a different shaped design. More ergonomic? Some say yes, but most Sony Playstation gaming fans think its a little over the top and ridiculous.

Another design. This one isn’t the most imaginative. It looks as though it is designed for a small version of a Playstation. It seems obviously fake because of its size, design and most of all: the fact that it is missing the start, select and other buttons and features. It is similar in design to the original Playstation 1 controller. It seems unlikely that Sony would take such a big step back in its console and gaming design with all of the gaming and media giants vying for their stake in the gaming market.

In my opinion I would hope and expect that Sony continue with their usual Dualshock controller, perhaps Dualshock 4 and give it some cool extra features. The newest gamepad would probably adapt to the trend of customisation that all gadgets these days seem to adopt. So maybe we will see more technologically advanced, wireless (of course) gamepads that lets the user change the skin or look to their own style.

One other possibility that we are all forgetting is that the Playstation 4 may have no controller at all and will feature a Microsoft Kinect Xbox 360 style hands free, no controller style of gaming. This would be a very likely move since the PS3 has recently adopted a motion controller for its gamers to use. At the moment the PS3′s motion control is basically a clone of the Nintendo Wii but with better controls and graphics, but perhaps with the next generation PS4 the motion control will be stepped up to a whole new level.

postheadericon Sony PS4 Trailer Videos

As with all the latest rumours about gadgets and technology, Youtube is at the center and is currently packed with videos claiming to be official Sony Playstation 4 trailers and videos. Are any of these real?

The answer is we aren’t really sure, are these PS4 trailers actually fake? Sony have apparently officially made a press release statement to confirm that these trailers are fan made and were not produced by themselves. But the fact remains that these trailers look pretty convincing and professional. Perhaps they aren’t really the actual console trailers, but were infact produced by Sony in an attempt to gain publicity and generate interest in their brand and new ps4 console?

Here are the existing trailers that appeared on Youtube earlier this year:

Playstation 4 Trailer 1

This is the first Playstation 4 trailer to be released. It looks pretty professionally created and produced. It features the ps4 logo throughout the video. One or two of the cast members look quite familiar and I am sure that I have seen one of the actors in several movies and TV shows (in small roles) before. This would be a point for the videos’ authenticity if known actors are being used. Of course they are not very famous actors, but no one expects Bruce Willis to be hired by Sony to promote their new Playstation 4 console.

PS4 Trailer / Viral Video 2:

This is a weird kind of viral video, supposedly promoting the new PS4 console. It features the same cast and characters as the first Playstation 4 trailer. Again, this one looks pretty professionally produced and developed. Its a strange concept and not necessarily one that is going to make everyone want a Playstation 4. It seems to have been created simply to generate interest in the Playstation rather than to sell it to the gaming community.

PS4 News Sketch:

A humorous look at video game consoles and all of the hype surrounding the new Playstation 4 console. I came across this when watching the PS4 trailers.

I think it sums up what a lot of people (although not neccessarily hardcore gamers) think about all the new consoles that have been released recently over the last few years. With all the talk of new Playstations, the Xbox 720 and the Wii 2 I think its actually pretty appropriate. Enjoy :)

What do you think of these trailers? Are they for real? Leave your comment below.

There have been alot of rumors flying around about the Sony PS4 console. Nobody has really confirmed whether any of the playstation 4 concept pictures that have been leaked onto the internet are real or not. But many different versions have been released all the same. Take a look at some of the concept ps4 images below.

This is generally thought to be the most realistic of the prototype pics on the net. Many people beleive that sony has released this one themselves and is thought to be real. As you can see this one is different to the previous games consoles, it stands upright like the wii.

Here is another example of the rumored ps4 console concept.

Sony PS4 Concept

This is supposedly using flexible screen technology. Boasting a see through design and stylish touch screen interface. Since touch screen technology is completely possible for the general public use such as that of the iPhone then it is not too unbeleivable to think that this tech could be used for the latest playstation console.

Another possible ps4 design. This one is super small and also wireless like the ps3. This is an ultra small and powerful machine. Do we think that the ps4 can pack all of the features of the ps3 and more into this tiny box?

We shall see…

postheadericon Sony PS4: 3D Features Likely to be Included

We live in a world where technology is now rapidly changing and developing. The gaming world is one of the most exciting in terms of what is possible and what you can do in games technology wise. There have long been rumours of a new Playstation 4 console due for release in the next few years.

The gaming community would be be excited to learn what new features the Playstation 4 will have if it was to be released for this Christmas, but it seems that the Playstation 4 is years from being released. Knowing this, it can be hard to imagine what technology will be included as we don’t know what will be developed over the next 5 years.

We can probably guess at what will be included based on what is currently included and what is due to be added on Sony’s current consoles. I am almost 100% sure that we will see some form of 3D technology utilised on the Playstation 4. The big 3D rush that has dominated media and entertainment in 2010 will be sure to continue into 2011 and beyond. Every major company has jumped on the 3D bandwagon with year and tried to sell it in some form to the market. This year has seen 3D bluray, 3D TV’s, 3D movies and even 3D gaming come into play.

The technology in its current state is flawed, but you can see its potential. Infact it was Sony that has won the race to get 3D into gaming with its PS3 console. You can now attain games in a variety of titles that use the technology. Of course there is still the problem of needing 3D glasses whenever you immerse yourself into this type of edgy  entertainment, perhaps the 3d PS4 will fix this problem and present a totally immersive 3 dimensional gaming experience for its players.

postheadericon Sony PS4 Release Date

There are always lots of rumours flying around about companies new products and the PS4 by Sony is no different. The release date has yet to be officially announced, but new rumours emerging on the internet suggest that it will be released sooner than you think it will be.

Insiders that work at the Sony gaming department have hinted that the new console with will released in late 2010 or early 2011. Will they be aiming for a Christmas release? Its not looking that likely as details have been held tightly behind close doors, but nothing has been released at this years annual gaming convention E3.

Microsoft’s Project Natal console system was demonstrated at E3 and is set to be released in time for Christmas 2010. Will the PS4 make a surprise announcement and release theirs too? Will there be rivalry between the two manufacturers?

One thing is for sure if the two games companies go head to head in a quest for sales it is likely to be Sony that wins, being the gaming veteran company. Let us not forget that Microsoft only came onto the gaming scene relatively recently with its Xbox console.

Project Natal is an add-on to the Xbox that will transform it into a hand free, wire free interactive control system. It looks very promising, but will it out shadow what Sony has in store for loyal Playstation fans? We will just have to wait and see
